2014年新学期伊始，Emerald出版社诚挚地感谢一直以来所有参与和关注过此基金的中国图情学界的老师。2013年Emerald中国图书馆情报学研究基金正在最后申请中，该奖项“旨在资助社会有益知识在中国大陆的传播”，最终将评选出一名优秀奖。
优秀奖获得者将获得：资助基金2,000英镑（相当于3,000美元）及Emerald颁发的证书；获奖项目的研究成果将有机会得到Emerald资深主编的指导并被发表于高质量期刊上。
申请截止至：2014年5月1日
结果公布：2014年8月
申请要求：
每份申请提案（proposal），都必须包括以下两个文档：
1、不超过2000英文单词的项目概要(Summary)，概要内容包括但不局限于以下内容
? 研究目的和意图(Purpose and Intent)
? 社会有益性(Benefits)
? 创新性(Originality and Innovation)
? 方法论(Methodology)
? 研究过程(Research process)
? 预期研究结果或影响(Expected outcomes)
? 可能的理论、实践应用性(Possible theoretical or practical application)
? 研究过程时间表(Timescale)
? 具体申请金额(Research costs)
2、载有项目组研究人员联系方式的个人简介(Covering letter)，需清晰注明主要联系人。
适用条件：项目主要成员必须常驻中国大陆地区
